RootS25 is organized as a three-day event, structured into three main thematic sessions:
SESSION 1: Thermo-Hydraulic (TH) processes part of the Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere (SVA) interaction, acting either below or above ground level
Sub-sessions:
1a: Experimental laboratory characterisation of thermo-hydraulic properties of the rooted soils;
1b: Site-scale hydrological processes within the RootS ED: insights into runoff and leaf interception;
1c: Monitoring of evaporation and transpiration fluxes within the RootS ED;
1d: Coupled numerical thermo-hydraulic modelling of SVA interaction.
SESSION 2: Coupled bio-chemo-mechanical processes controlling the mechanical response of rooted soils
Sub sessions:
2a: Experimental laboratory characterisation of the multiscale bio-hydro-chemo-mechanical behaviour of rooted soils;
2b: Field scale characterisation of the bio-hydro-chemo-mechanical behaviour of rooted soils;
2c: Numerical modelling of the behaviour of rooted soils and boundary value problems under static and dynamic loading conditions.
SESSION 3: Open discussion, about the IDENTITY of the international multidisciplinary scientific group RootS
